There's a lot of info on these videos of how to do the CHDK, but to my mind all you need is two files, although I haven't looked at this for this particular camera. Both cameras use DRYos, so I'm thinking it shouldn't be a herculean task to figure this out. Would you like to comment? We hope you are next.

I've tried using this on the SX and couldn't get it to work. Is anyone planning to implement this feature in an autobuild? Sweet icons by famfamfam. Here is a guide to install CHDK chdk.

This is one night shot that long exposure should never be used even though that's the natural temptation. Now I want to install it in my camera, but I do not know how to cdhk it. Motion detection — Trigger exposure in response to motion, fast enough to catch lightning.
Can this be done?

Quote My instincts though tell me to chdm the part of the firmware that tells something like a 7D to shoot 60fps, and compare that with the SX40 firmware that tells it to shoot at 30fps. Maybe we can use another scripting language as a way to support this feature.
Have you tested the script for the Manual Video Controls in Movie mode?
